The Drawing Explained
I tend to shy away from talking about anger because it’s almost always accompanied by some layer of guilt: You don’t have it bad enough…get over it…it’s your fault you feel this way…
The list goes on, sigh. But I don’t think anger itself is bad—it’s one of our core emotions. What really matters is what we do with it. It takes a lot of practice, but anger can be transformed into something positive, something constructive.
Sometimes, that’s in a very obvious way, like creating art. But other times, it can be a bit more oblique. Maybe anger at someone’s actions is a sign you respect yourself. It can tell you that it’s time to let go of a relationship. We can’t help how we feel, but in time, we can learn how to channel it.
